Nastase no longer faces compulsory enforcement

Adrian Nastase will no longer face compulsory enforcement in the “Quality Trophy” case. The former premier has decided to pay through bank transfer the RON 3.3 M that the court established as damages. “Mr. Adrian Nastase has started the voluntary enforcement procedure prior to the start of the compulsory enforcement. Mr. Adrian Nastase has officially notified the Inspectorate that he will willingly pay the damages. The Inspectorate hesitated for several days, but finally yesterday morning (Wednesday – editor’s note) they sent the account in which the money have to be wired. The transfers will take place until the whole sum is paid. The payment will be made starting today,” Ion Cazacu, Adrian Nastase’s lawyer, stated yesterday on Romania TV.
