A woman fell yesterday from the 17th floor of the Intercontinental Hotel Bucharest, Mediafax reports, citing judicial sources. She was 30 years old. Police has opened an investigation to establish whether the woman, a Bucharest resident, fell or was pushed to her death. She had checked into the hotel the day before she died. Unlike other hotels where windows are sealed shut exactly in order to prevent such incidents, the Intercontinental Hotel, built in 1976, has balconies which customers can use, and windows that open. The victim’s body was taken away for an autopsy at the National Institute of Legal Medicine.
