‘Masks in Venice’ at MTR

The ‘Foaier’ hall of the Romanian Peasant’s Museum (MTR) hosts between today and February 28 a collective photographic exhibition under the name ‘Masks in Venice,’ organised by the Italian Culture Institute. The exhibition, which displays about 60 photos aims at introducing the public to the fascinating world of the Venice Carnival, where colours, the joy and pleasure of life are lived at the maximum. As part of the event, the Italian Culture Institute will hold a Carnival Party on Thursday, 21 February 2013, starting at 7.00 PM, which is meant to reproduce the joyful atmosphere that animates, these days, many squares of Italy, on the music of Vivaldi, Albinoni, Benedetto Marcello and other Venitian composers. Admission is free.
