Romania, at Global Ministerial Environment Forum of Nairobi

Romania will be represented in the 14th edition of the Governing Council of the Global Ministerial Environment Forum of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), scheduled to take place on February 18-22 in Nairobi, Kenya, by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Changes, through state secretary Elena Dumitru, the ministry announced. The UNEP session held this year is considered as historic, because it will represent the most important step in starting the process of implementation of the results of the Rio+20 Summit, especially with regard to consolidating the role of the organisation, as main international body in the field of environment, in the context of sustainable development, and for establishing a global representation in the UNEP leading structures.
