More than 10 investors interested in Posta Romana privatisation

More than 10 companies expressed their interest, through non-committing letters, for the privatisation of Compania Nationala Posta Romana (CNPR), which will end in June, the minister for the Information Society, Dan Nica announced, quoted by Mediafax. He added that, in the task book of the tender, the government will ask the investors that want to participate in the privatisation process to submit a guarantee of EUR 1 M, which will prevent a new row like that experienced at Oltchim.
Posta Romana will be privatised through capital increase. The government will select the eligible investors until the middle of May and the privatisation contract will be signed until the middle of June 2013.
Officials of Compania Nationala Posta Romana were yesterday in Brussels for technical talks with officials of the European Commission referring to the privatisation of the postal operator. The talks are also attended by representatives of the consortium formed by KPMG Romania and Tuca Zbarcea si Asociatii, the consultant that assists the state in the privatisation of the public postal company.
