Banca Transilvania aims for 15 pc growth on private banking segment

This year Banca Transilvania aims for a 15 per cent growth in the number of private banking clients, to over 2,600 persons, and in the assets on this segment, to approximately EUR 540 M, the bank announced on Friday, Mediafax informs. Banca Transilvania currently has over 2,300 private banking clients, up by 27 per cent compared to 2011, and manages assets of approximately EUR 470 M, up by 17 per cent,  a bank communiqué shows. Private banking clients are clients that have over EUR 100,000 for at least three consecutive months in their accounts at the bank, as well as those that invest significant sums in the BT Asset Management and BT Securities subsidiaries of the BT Cyprus branch, but also those that have premium cards or large loans.  Last year Banca Transilvania registered a net profit of RON 320.43 M, up by 40 per cent compared to 2011. At the same time, its assets grew by 15 per cent to RON 29.57 bln, and the provisions’ balance by 27 per cent.
