The European funds attracted by the Romanian rural fund have acceded au EUR 4.8 bln, which matches an absorption rate of 55 pc, Daniel Constantin, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR), said, at the launch Thursday of the EU funds awareness caravan organised by the Agency of Payments for Rural Development and Fisheries, Agerpres reports. The agriculture minister is optimistic about Romania’s ability to attract funds via the National Rural Development Program under the current financial scheme, which means Romania should have a 110 pc absorption rate in 2013.
