DIICOT: Romania’s largest ever cannabis crop in Arad

The largest ever cannabis crop in Romania was found in Arad on Friday, when prosecutors at the Arad Office of the Organised Crime and Anti-Terrorist Directorate (DIICOT) raided the homes of nine drug traffickers, including some Vietnamese nationals, where they found 30 kilograms of  cannabis and thousands of plants. The 11-strong Vietnamese exclusive drug ring has been dismantled. DNA prosecutors found in the municipality of Arad the largest ever indoor cannabis crop found in Romania, nearly 3,000 cannabis plants in all. The ring members organized and financed the illegal cultivation of cannabis aimed at marketing it in European Union countries.
