The row over controlling the Trade Registry continues

Cristian Dobre, president of the Dolj Chamber of Commerce, is among the first who opposed the manager of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR), Mihail Vlasov, evz.ro reports. He promptly answered the threats made by Vlasov against nine presidents of county Chambers, on ground that they did not join Vlasov’s initiative to take over Trade Registry (RC) from the Ministry of Justice. As a consequence, notes were sent by CCIR to the county Chambers, asking their presidents to pay “imaginary sums.” Dobre warned the other president of Chambers of Commerce: “These notes have as objective determining you to eliminate the person who had the courage to publicly demand the justification for the incredible robbing of the National Chamber by Mihail Vlasov. Immense sums of money spent as he pleased without providing documents as justification.” Mihail Vlasov was unavailable to comment the news, evz.ro adds.“For six months, Mihail Vlasov led by himself the National Chamber (CCIR),” the president of the Bacau Chamber of Commerce, Doru Simovici said. In his turn, Csaba Balasi, president of the Harghita Chamber mentioned: “under the pretext that the Trade Registry will return to the Chambers, someone practically no longer wants the authority of county chambers to still exist. I don’t know who is behind these people. I say that everything is possible, in politics, we see, possibilities are practically endless,” Csaba Balasi added. The official however hopes that the Parliament will reject the initiative: “I do not believe that democratic principles will be infringed by the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.” He says that he wants the Trade Registry to return to the Chambers of Commerce, for the benefit of entrepreneurs throughout the territory. Not at all how the initiator wants the RC to become the instrument of a person or of a circle of people from Bucharest. “This is inadmissible for us!”
