Metrorex unionists hold protest rally

Members of the Underground Transport Workers Trade Union (USLM) are attending a rally in front of the Transport Ministry today, from 12.30 pm, and then they will march up to the Government building in Victoria Square, given no common ground has been reached with authorities over the collective work contract, realitatea.net quoted USLM President Ion Radoi having told a press conference yesterday, who added that the protest action will last three hours, with a general strike likely after April 1 unless their demands are met. Radoi also drew attention to the Metrorex underground transport authority’s status, amid information about the subway going to be transferred under the municipality’s authority in the coming period.
