Stelian Fedorca, relieved of his Education state secretary duties

Education State Secretary Stelian Fedorca was released of his duties by Premier Ponta on Thursday. Earlier last week, Fedorca was accused of being incompatible with his position. Although he finds the PM’s decision as natural, the former state secretary announced he would keep contesting the National Integrity Agency (ANI) incompatibility report which he reckons as   “lacking  professionalism and showing ill-faith “.Last Monday, ANI announced Stelian Fedorca had been incompatible since Sept 2007 with his positions of Ministry of Education director-adviser and then Education state secretary, as he was still director at the “Mihai Eminescu” College.According to ANI, during Sept 1, 2007 – April 25, 2010, Stelian Victor Fedorca simultaneously held the said positions, thus encroaching on the provisions in art. 94, paragraphs 1 and 2, letter a) of Law 161/2003. Also, during May 16, 2012 – Feb 1, f 2013, Fedorca was in incompatibility as he simultaneously held the position of education state secretary and that of director at the “Mihai Eminescu”, National College, as well as being an “Authorized Physical Person”.
