Britain’s best known stand-up comedian to perform in Romania for first time

Eddie Izzar’s stand-up performance in Bucharest is part of his Force Majeure World Tour 2013.

Eddie Izzard, one of the most appreciated stand-up comedians worldwide, will perform in Romania for the first time. The show, organized by Livehouse, in partnership with Mick Perrin Worldwide, will take place at Palace Hall, April 29, and is part of his Force Majeure World Tour 2013.Known for roles in such top-grossing films as Ocean Twelve, Ocean Thirteen, Cars 2, The Simpsons, Valkyrie and Chronicles of Narnia, Eddie Izzard is also a very talented stand-up comedian, his stand-up comedy shows Dress to Kill or Glorious making him a household name worldwide. Winner of the British Comedy Award 1993, Eddie is now held as one of the funniest comedians ever, ranking 19th in a specialized industry standings. During his exceptional career, Eddie performed on some of the world’s greatest stages, including Madison Square Garden, Wembley Arena and Paris Bercy, being the first comedian to give a one man performance a the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Among those who enjoyed Eddie Izzard’s humor  over time, celebrities  such as Robin Williams, Mel Brooks, Jim Carey, Sharon Stone, Quentin Tarantino and even Madonna. Eddie Izzard’s Force Majeure tour kicking off this spring will include 25 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, the U.S., New Zealand and Australia. Tickets cost RON 80, 100, 125, 150 and 200 and are available for sale beginning on Saturday, March 9, at www.Myticket.ro, as well as Diverta outlets, Muzica Store, Mihai Eminescu Bookshop and Palace Hall.
