Dozens of Szekler flags, raised in Covasna County

Dozens of Szekler flags were raised yesterday on houses and gates in a village of  Varaolt, Covasna County. “Approximately 70 flags were already displayed in this small locality, but we notice that, in other localities of the Baraolt region, people started displaying this symbol,” the president of PPMT Baraolt, Szep Bela said, quoted by Mediafax. He asked Szeklerland inhabitants to follow the example of  Talisoara and raise the Szekler flag, respectively “to paint Szekler villages in blue-gold colours.” It is important telling people to assume their national identity. The time has come when Szeklers may say, without fear, that they are at home and that they fly the Szekler colours on their houses or porches,” Szep Bela stated.
