“Romanian Short Waves-6” shorts pre-selection

Secvente Association invites  Romanian film producers and directors to submit short film entries to the  “Romanian Short Waves-6” Program, May 15-26 in the section “Short Film Corner” of the din 66th Cannes Film Festival.

According to a press release, the “Romanian Short Waves” pre-selection will be held by the Secvente Association and accomplished by a juty made up of Romanian film industry professionals. Each company with experience short film making experience and produced results at grand film festivals may propose a title for the final list and it will be accepted automatically. School films and those presented by startup companies will be up for jury selection.Those interested are invited to send films on DVDs by March 31, accompanied by registry forms, whose standard format is available for download from the Romanian Short Waves 2013 Facebook page, to the quarters of the National Center of Cinematography Bucharest.In order to be admitted to pre-selection, the entries shall meet the following requirements: to be no longer than 20 minutes; made after Jan 1, 2012; have English or French subtitles; only one short/film/director will be accepted for viewing.The authors of the picked entries shall come up by April 3 with a maximum 3 Gb uploaded version compliant with organizers’ demands.Launched in 2004, the “Short Film Corner” Section offers producers and directors the possibility to screen their films, meet and lay the groundwork for future collaborations. “Short Film Corner” is designed for a short film market and therefore does not amount to a competitive selection to Cannes Film Festival.
