Handball CL: Oltchim playing for semifinals

Romanian women’s title holders Oltchim  will play against Slovenian title holders RK Krim Mercator Ljubljana on Sunday at home, at 6 PM, needing a win in order to be certain of a place in the semifinals. Before the final round RK Krim Mercator top the rankings with 8 points, followed by Oltchim (6 pts), FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria (6 pts) and Zvezda Zvenigorod (0 pts).

Oltchim coach Jakob Vestergaard is certain that the game will be very difficult. “It will be a very difficult game. Krim has a very good team that is our equal from all points of view. I hope we will win and the fans present in the stands will have a decisive contribution to our team’s performance,” the Dutch coach stated on the club’s official website. The coach is optimistic especially after the team’s excellent performance last Saturday when it won its away game against Hungarian title holders Ferencvaros, 30-23.
