171 wanted persons tracked down by Police last week

A number of 171 wanted persons, of whom 89 were considered missing and 82 had prison or arrest warrants, were tracked down by  criminal investigation police during  march 8-14, Mediafax reports. Fifty-six of those reported missing are underage. The underage children were entrusted to families or underage care centers, as they were not victims of any criminal acts. Of the persons issued national APBs and found during last week, 67 had prison warrants written for them, while six had European arrest warrants, and six were looked sought for being remanded.  Of those caught, a 44-year-old male from  Budesti, Calarasi Co., sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for  robbery, and a 34-year-old man from Galati, who must stay behind bars for seven years for a similar offense, the quoted source said.
