Maschio Gaspardo Romania, the biggest producer of agricultural equipment in Romania, plans to expand its production facilities in the country, forecasting investments of EUR 3 M this year and the construction of a new 2,000-square-meter hall, a press release informs. “In 2013 we mark 10 years since we opened our plant in Romania. For the company Romania represents exceptional potential because of its internal resources and its strategic position in what concerns gaining access to new markets,” Mirco Maschio, the company’s administrator, stated. Maschio Gaspardo Romania closed 2012 with a turnover of EUR 25 M, supported by the Romanian market where sales of EUR 14 M were registered, the rest of the sales going to export. In 2012 the company opened a new 1,200-square-meters hall for the reception and shipping of freight, the hall’s total surface thus reaching 9,500-square-meters. The investments plan for the next three years includes the construction of new production and assembly areas, the buying of new last-generation welding robots, laser and plasma cutting machines as well as other tools needed for the production process. All these investments are done in order to further enhance the quality and performance of the equipment produced by Maschio Gaspardo Romania.
