Parliament sets up ProAmerica Group

The Chamber of Deputies and Senate yesterday decided to set up the ProAmerica Group with mission to support the development of political, strategic, civic, cultural, economic and technological cooperation between Romania and the United States of America. Apart from Prime Minister Victor Ponta – as member of Parliament, on the group there will also be lower Chamber Speaker Valeriu Zgonea, as well as the MPs Mircea Du?a, Ilie Sarbu, Gabriel Vlase, Georgian Pop, Ioan Mocioalca – PSD, George Scutaru, Eduard Hellvig, Nicolae Dobritoiu, Tudor Doina – PNL, Mircea Lubanovici, Ion Ariton – PDL, Laszlo Borbely – UDMR, Aurel Vainer – national minorities, Liviu Codarla – PPDD. ‘The aim of the ProAmerica Group is to support the development of political, strategic, civic, cultural, economic and technological cooperation between Romania and the USA, in the framework and in the spirit of the strategic partnership of the two countries’, the Chairman of the meeting, Miron Mitrea, noted.
