Romanian athlete Estera Dobre (51-kg category) won the silver medal on Wednesday at the European Free Style Wrestling Championships in Tbilisi, Mediafax informs. Estera Dobre defeated Finland’s Tiina Paula Ylinen in the first round of the 51-kg category, Latvia’s Karalina Tjapko, and then Ukraine’s Yuliya Blahinya in the semifinals, qualifying for the final. In the final Dobre was defeated by Poland’s Roxana Zasina, 3-1. Enrolled at CSM Sfantu Gheorghe club, the 26-year-old athlete won the sixth medal of her career in Tbilisi and her fifth European silver medal in a row. According to adevarul.ro, Estera Dobre is part of a family of 17 children. She started wrestling at the age of 14. She wants to go to Rio de Janeiro, the Olympic Games in Brazil being her last chance to win the Olympic medal she has been dreaming about for a lifetime.
