The least expense energy package up for trading on the bilateral contract platform of the OPCOM Exchange over the past six years was sold late last week by Cernavoda Power, controlled by Portugal’s EDP, one of the strongest wind power investors in Romania, zf.ro reports. The trading on this OPCOM platform kicked off in Dec 2005, yet it was only in early 2007 the closing price was published. According to the information available, in 2006, the average trading price was close to RON 130/MWh, this also being the price for which the EDP sold energy on the OPCOM.
