Julien Salemkour, the celebrated conductor of the Berlin State Opera, will conduct the National Radio Orchestra in Friday’s Antonin Dvorak-dedicated concert, Mediafax reports. Friday’s program opens with “Requiem”, one of Dvorak’s highly regarded works, which reflects the composer’s existential dilemmas. The Requiem will be performed by the National Radio Orchestra, with participation from some vocal soloists with a vast performing experience in the country and abroad: soprano Sorina Munteanu – soloist of the Bucharest National Opera – mezzo soprano Cornelia Onicioiu – who collaborates with several prestigious institutions from France, tenor Marius Budoiu – soloist and general director Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca – and Czech bass Jan Martinik, under contract with the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Berlin lyric theater. The audience will also have the opportunity to listen to the Radio Academic Choir conducted by Dan Mihai Goia.
