The government approved by memorandum the merger of the energy companies Regia Autonoma de Distributie a Energiei Termice (RADET) and Electrocentrale Bucuresti (ELCEN), so the production and distribution operations will be integrated, official sources announced, quoted by Mediafax.
The request of the municipality is that all five CET companies are transferred to the public domain of the city, along with their assets and liabilities. The service aims at producing, transporting, distributing and supplying the energy through an integrated system of central heating. As for the existing debts of RADET towards ELCEN, when the service will be jointly provided by the two institutions, the patrimony will become common and they will be legally extinguished.
