Transelectrica and Transgaz transferred to the Finance Ministry

The government approved yesterday the transfer of Transelectrica (TEL) and Transgaz (TGN) companies, which respectively manage the electricity and natural gas grids, from the Ministry of Economy to the Ministry of Finance, official sources announced, quoted by Mediafax. The procedure is necessary for Romania to comply with a European directive on the separation and management of the energy production, transport, distribution and supply activities.
