Holzindustrie Schweighofer invests EUR 150 M in Covasna

Austrian company Holzindustrie Schweighofer invests EUR 150 M in a wood processing factory that will become operational next year at Reci, Covasna County, with 650 jobs due to be created following the investment, Mediafax reports. The planned annual production capacity will amount to 800,000 cubic meters and 70 pc of the resulting planks will be subsequently processed, of which 100,000 cu.m. will be used for glued products destined to the Asian market, in a first phase. In a second phase, Holzindustrie Schweighofer plans to manufacture glued products for the local market too.
