Posta Romana privatisation deadline, pushed back one month

The deadline for purchasing the presentation file in the privatisation of Posta Romana by potential investors was pushed back to 28 May 2013, which might delay by one month the conclusion of the whole process. According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Information Society (MSI), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreed to extending the interval in which potential bidders may purchase the presentation file from April 11 to May 28, 2013.

The decision is a consequence of the requests sent by postal administrations and investment funds interested to evaluate in detail the investment opportunity and growth potential of the company. MSI explains that, in the present phase of the process, in order to maximise the commercial potential of the transaction, the name of investors and the stage of talks with investors will remain confidential.
