On Friday, Victor Hanescu (58th ATP) was defeated by Igor Sijsling (70th ATP), 6-4, 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-7 (5), 6-2, and Adrian Ungur (124th ATP) was defeated by Robin Haase (52nd ATP), 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. The Davis Cup game counting for round two of Group I, Europe-Africa Zone, was played within Brasov’s “Dumitru Popescu Colibasi” Sports Hall.
