Mazare shouts at ministers

Mayor Radu Mazare complains about EU funds allocated for the promotion of the Romanian Black Sea Coast not being possible to spend by the National Tourism Agency and says that, under an agreement signed by Elena Udrea, as Minister of Tourism, the destination of the funds is decided by a private company hired to take care of the promotion. The mayor claims it’s very difficult to surmount bureaucratic obstacles and that, if he wants to be able to implement an investment, he needs to pick up the telephone and ‘shout’ at ministers. ‘It’s tremendously difficult to surmount bureaucratic barriers in Romania. Even if you are in the Government or you are a mayor, there is this terrible immobility. (…) Unless you pick up the phone and shout at each of them, no investment can be done in Romania’, Mazare said.
