The operations of Mechel Targoviste will be affected, this week, by the closing of the plant’s furnace and the personnel that is not involved in maintenance and repair works will be sent on technical unemployment and will be paid with 80 pc of the normal wage. The acquisition of scrap iron will continue at a normal pace during the entire interval, Mechel informs in a communiqué quoted by capital.ro. The rolling activity and the deliveries of finished products continue both at Mechel Targoviste and Ductil Steel Buzau, adds the document.
