Danish group Vestas, the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer, landed a 36 turbine 72 MW overall contract in Romania. The turbines will be delivered in the second half of the year to a wind farm developed by Lukerg Renew in Tulcea County. The contract could be extended by an additional 12 MW, according to the Vestas press release. This means Vestas could deliver an extra 6 turbines, to bring the whole number to 42. Lukerg Renew is a joint venture made up of Russia’s Lukoil and ERG Renew of Italy.
