Victor Ponta claims that, by relocating the head offices of Romgaz and Transgaz to Bucharest, the town of Medias will lose no job and no local tax, rtv.ro reports. “The employees remain at Medias. Romgaz and Transgaz entered an association with big companies. These days, Transgaz is selling many shares on the stock exchange. Practically, both become companies that are not just national, but also with regional involvement and it is very clear that they must have a structure in Bucharest. We cannot take each one piece of this country and take it to our place, <<come on, the gas belongs to Medias.>> No, the gas belongs to the country,” Victor Ponta said at the Palace of the Parliament. He considers that the delegate minister for Energy, Constantin Nita “must think about what is good for Romania” and Sibiu deputy Mircea Cazan “must think about what is good for Medias.” Victor Ponta said that USL has not reached a consensus over this matter yet, but it will discuss and find the best solution.
