The transfer of rural infrastructure, a wrong decision, Constantin says

Minister of Agriculture Daniel Constantin considers the transfer of the rural infrastructure measure to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration (MDRAP), in the next financial exercise 2014-2020, a wrong decision, which will increase bureaucracy, adevarul.ro reports. “I consider the memorandum approved by the government as wrong, it has a wrong concept. It is a memorandum which I saw, alas, too late, just before it entered the cabinet meeting. I approved it, but with many addenda,” the Conservative leader explained. “As far as I see things, it will increase bureaucracy, especially for mayors, because the purpose is the transfer of this organism that deals with rural infrastructure to the Regional Development Agency. I consider that things went very well until now at the Agency of Payments for Rural Development and Fisheries. Of course, we will also discuss this in Brussels,” Daniel Constantin added.

He explained that removing measure 322 – rural infrastructure – from PNDR was requested by MDRAP. “If this decision will be made, mayors will have to submit their projects to the Rural Development Agencies, then the payment will be made via the Agency of Payments for Rural Development and Fisheries,” Constantin mentioned.
