Volksbank invests EUR 20 M in expansion and image

Volksbank Romania will invest EUR 20 M in rebranding and the renovation of its network of subsidiaries until the end of the year, also in opening 9 new branches, after it closed 50 branches during the last three years, Mediafax reports.

The number of units declined between 2010 and mid-2012 by 50 units, which took the network from 181 to 131. The number of employees in the bank network diminished from 803 in 2010 to 533 in 2013. In line with the market orientation, the bank plans to mainly promote the financing in RON, although the offer for mortgage and long-term loans the offer will remain in EUR.
