The number of new car registrations continued to drop for the third month in a row, to 5,079 units in March, 26.08 pc less than a year ago, the Driving License and Vehicle Registration Department (DRPCIV) announced yesterday. Out of the total number of new registrations, positive figures were achieved by motorcycles and mopeds, half-trailers and commercial vehicles less than 3.5 tonnes. As for the registration of new automobiles, the figure diminished in March by 32.19 pc, to 3,324 units. The best sold auto brand, in March too, continued to be Dacia, followed by Volkswagen, Skoda and Hyundai.
