Plafar and Sanevit, up for auction

The Ministry of Economy announced that it will put up for auction this week the companies Plafar and Sanevit, digi24 informs. Plafar is a loss-making company, but the Plafar brand, sold to a private company, brings profit: last year it had a turnover of EUR 8 M, almost twice the result of 2011. Sanevit was the first Romanian company that made syringes and disposable medical needles, but it stopped producing syringes at its Arad factory more than six years ago. For some time, employees earned a living by manufacturing packages for chocolate eggs.

According to the negotiations with the IMF, Sanevit is on the list of companies whose losses must be included in the budget deficit.
