Chiliman launches the Liberal Romania

The political-civic platform named ‘The Liberal Romania Initiative,’ which includes among its founding members Andrei Chiliman, Vlad Moisescu, Diana Tusa, Dan Cristian Popescu and Iulian Craciun, will be inaugurated today, with Mihai Razvan Ungureanu and Sever Voinescu being invited to attend the launching event.“In a Romanian society marked by the economic, institutional and moral crisis, in a society where the most productive people have the weakest political representation, the Liberal Romania Initiative promotes the values of classic Liberalism: the political freedom of the individual person, the freedom of economic initiative, private property, personal responsibility, a moral conservative attitude and the rule of law,” reads a press release issued Friday.

PNL president Crin Antonescu said, also Friday, that he does not want to comment on the Liberal Romania Initiative, because this is not a political party, only saying that this is “trashcan politics,” with Andrei Chiliman and Vlad Moisescu.
