Five Bucharest traffic policemen remanded

Five of the seven Bucharest traffic police held for taking bribe uttering or abuse of office against public interests were arrested Saturday following Bucharest Tribunal ruling, with the court now to decide whether the measure applies for the other two agents as well. The seven traffic policemen were apprehended by prosecutors with the Prosecutor’s Office of the Bucharest Tribunal on Saturday, five of whom are now remanded for 29 days and the other two questioned while free. The remand verdict is challengeable on appeal in the Bucharest Court of Appeal.
