The 4th Bucharest Interwar Ball will be held at the National Military Center, May 23, 8.00 pm. According to the event organizers, the Bucharest Interwar Ball seeks to revive the spirit of a fortunate time when the Capital was called “little Paris” for its cosmopolitan atmosphere. The retro costumes inspired by the fashion of the 1920s-‘30s showcase the elegance and emancipation of women at the time, Zavaidoc’s music, jazz and tango, charleston and foxtrot dance steps that were the fashion back then, will all be part of the Interwar Ball. The program includes timepiece dances danced by professionals and theatrical moments played by Smaranda Caragea, Ana-Maria Karina Nagy and Nae Alexandru, who will breathe life into some famous characters of the time. Cultural figures – intellectuals, actors, historians, musicians and fine artists -, lecturers and friend of the Victoria Road Foundation, will attend the event.
The Ball participation fee is RON 170. Registration can be made at firstname.lastname@example.org. The event will be held at the Byzantine Hall and the Gothic Hall of the National Military Center. Participants’ costumes must draw inspiration from the interwar period, Charleston dresses, pearl and accessories for ladies, and tuxedo or black evening suit – the gentlemen.
