Gen Francisc Radici, charged over illegal MoD housing purchases case

Reserves Gen Francisc Radici, former head of the General Intelligence Information Department of the Ministry of National Defense (MoD) has been charged in connection with a criminal file dealing with illegal purchases of ministry housing, and also involving  Corneliu Dobritoiu, Sergiu Medar, Gheorghe Rotaru, Mircea Chelaru and Floarea Serban.Anti-corruption military prosecutors yesterday read Retired Major General Francisc Radici the charge, judicial sources told Mediafax.The sources also said the general had not yet been questioned over the case, which would happen at a later date.Reserves Major Gen Constantin Nastase and reserves Colonels Cornel Julea and Cornel Vizitiu were also expected to appear before anti-corruption prosecutors yesterday.The following are criminally investigated in connection to this case: Reserve Gen and former defense minister Corneliu Dobritoiu, and Reserves Generals Traian Pigui, Sergiu Medar, Gheorghe Rotaru, Mircea Chelaru, Constantin Nastase and Floarea Serban.
