Airplane returns to ‘Henri Coanda’ airport after impact with bird

An airplane operated by Wizz Air, flying to Pisa, returned Thursday on the ‘Henri Coanda’ airport of Bucharest following a collision with a bird, shortly after takeoff, airport spokesman Valentin Iordache said. The aircraft with 153 passengers onboard took off from ‘Henri Coanda’ at 11.26 AM and safely returned on the ground at 11.39, Iordache explained. The pilot announced the control tower that the plane hit a bird and asked the permission to land for a check. No passenger was injured in the incident, which did not cause any damage either, Valentin Iordache added.
