Hidroelectrica puts on sale 88 micro hydropower plants as of June

State company Hidroelectrica, which has been insolvent for almost one year, will put on sale, starting next month, 88 of the nearly 160 micro hydropower plants it still controls. “The sale process will go on in phases, starting June 2013, using transparent and competitive methods in compliance with the acting Romanian legislation,” Hidroelectrica informs in a communiqué. The sale of micro hydropower plants (with a installed power up to 10 MW) was approved by the AGA of the company on March 13. The 88 units have a cumulated installed power of 58 MW.
