Rompetrol Rafinare reports 19 pc turnover decrease in Q1

Rompetrol Rafinare (RRC), part of the Rompetrol Group, closed the first quarter with a consolidated gross turnover of USD 884.3 M, lower by 19 per cent compared to the USD 1.09 bn reported for the similar interval in 2012. The company reported in Q1 2.4 times smaller loss from USD 62.7 M in the first three months of last year to USD 25.1 M this year. EBITDA suffered a correction by approximately USD 120,000 compared to the USD 11.6 M negative result reported for the first three months of 2012. Company’s fuel sales went down by 24 per cent to approximately 500,000 tons, half of the quantity being exported. In Q1 the company paid USD 235.4 M worth of taxes to the state budget.
