Wizz Air boosts capacity in Cluj

Wizz Air has inaugurated 3 new routes, from Cluj Napoca to Bari, Eindhoven and Brussels-Charleroi, routes that have become operational this week after the third Wizz Air airliner has been allocated for the base in Cluj Napoca, a press release shows. The base now has a total of three airliners. The new airliner is fitted with the Sharklets wingtip system which lowers fuels consumption. Sharklets improves the plane’s drag and significantly lowers fuel consumption and emissions by 4 per cent on longer flights. Sharklets are available on the new series of A320 airliners and offers airline companies the flexibility of adding around 100 nautical miles or 450 kilograms. With the addition of the three new routes Wizz Air currently operates flights towards 15 destinations, from Cluj Napoca, thus enhancing the transportation capacity in Cluj by over 700,000 seats annually.

This number proves once again that passengers want to have access to accessible flight tariffs and these tariffs lead to a growth in tourism and the labor market, stimulating collaborations with the foreign business sector. The three new routes will be operated at first twice per week. Seats on the new routes are available for sale on, at prices starting off from RON 109 per one flight, all taxes included.
