WB supportive of Gov’t economic growth reforms

Economy Minister Varujan Vosganian yesterday received a World Bank (WB) delegation made up of Elisabetta Capannelli, the new director for Romania and Bulgaria, Aurora Ferrari, Europe and Central Asia financial director, and Arabela Aprahamian, senior private sector adviser. According to a ministerial press release, the meeting focused on Romania’s economic growth and competitiveness areas where the WB could help Romanian government reforms. Minister Vosganian laid out the drafting stage of Romania’s Re-industrialization Strategy, saying it would be correlated with the EU industrial policy. Aurora Ferrari and Elisabetta Capannelli mentioned that the WB would soon be able to provide technical and financial assistance towards implementation of the  Re-industrialization Strategy, in line with WB proceedings, with the terms of the agreement to be rubberstamped in a relatively short period of time.
