Judges Danilet and Ghica return to CSM

Judges Cristi Danilet and Alina Ghica, revoked from office by the members of the Superior Magistracy Council (CSM) through two decisions on February 26, have returned to the CSM after the Bucharest and Galati Courts of Appeals have decided to suspend the decisions until a final decision is adopted in the case of the cancellation requests. The two took part on Monday in the meeting of CSM’s Section for Judges, and today will attend CSM’s Plenum meeting. On February 26, Cristi Vasilica Danilet, judge at the Cluj Court, and Alina Ghica, judge at the Bucharest Court of Appeals, were revoked from the CSM, as a consequence of the votes cast within the general assemblies of judges. The two magistrates attacked the revocation decisions at the Bucharest Court of Appeals, asking for their cancellation. Ghica also attacked the revocation decision at the High Court of Justice (ICCJ).
