Bad weather is back: Storm advisory for 15 counties

Rain and storms keep coming, On Thursday, meteorologists issued a storm advisory for 15 counties in the eastern half of the country, where torrential rain, thunderstorms, strong winds and hail are expected until Friday, 10.00 pm.
According to the National Administration of de Meteorology (ANM), Friday night weather will be unsettled in Moldova, Eastern Carpathians, and the northern parts of Dobrogea and Muntenia.
“Heavy rains will fall in those regions, accompanied by thunderstorms, gusty wind and hail. Water level will exceed  25…30 l/sq. m, and  50 l/sq. m in spotty areas, according to the ANM advisory, which was issued for the counties of Suceava, Botosani, Iasi, Neamt, Bacau, Vaslui, Vrancea, Galati, Tulcea, Braila, Buzau, Prahova, Brasov, Covasna and Harghita.
The unstable developments will continue until the weekend, mostly mountain areas and the eastern southern and central regions, yet across narrow areas and short time intervals, ANM said. The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management  (INHGA) issued a small river and flood advisory for nine counties in eastern Romania, Thursday, 8.00 pm thru Saturday, 10.00, in the hydrological basins of
Suceava, Moldova, Bistrita, Trotus (counties of Suceava, Neamt, Harghita and Bacau), Susita, Putna, Ramnicu Sarat (Vrancea Co.), Barlad (counties of Vaslui and Galati), Jijia (counties of Botosani and Iasi) and the tributaries of the Lower Prut in the counties of Vaslui and Galati.
Over 100 households and yards were flooded in four communes in Galati Co., with Matca the hardest hit, Mediafax reports.
According to an assessment by the Galati Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU), 71 homesteads were affected in Corod, Carlomanesti and Nartesti, where heavy rains caused a brook to flow out of its bed. Severe flooding was reported at Matca, too, whose northern area was damaged by the Corozel brook, a tributary of the Barlad River, flowing out of it bed.
ISU Galati spokesman Eugen Chirita said that damages have so far been evaluated in the Corod – Carlomanesti – Nartesti area, where a bridge was destroyed and a county road covered by debris across nearly 2 km, between Berheci Rail Station and Nartesti.
A rescue team are heading to Matca to assess the situation, the ISU spokesman said, who added that the local committee for emergency situations swung into action.
Matca Mayor Nelu Costea said that rain deluged two houses and scores of yards, although a definite damage evaluation is yet to be made.
Also, INHGA announced that The Danube flow rate is on the rise and might exceed safety levels next week, as a result of f the 10.500 cubic meters/s flash flood in Germany and Austria propagating downstream and expected to reach Romania during June 13-1.
The flow rate at the Bazias entry into Romania was on the rise, at 7,400 cubic meters/s Wednesday, above the multi-annual June average of 6,400 cubic meters/s. Upstream of Portile de Fier, flow rates were rising along the Gruia-Calarasi sector, remained unchanged at Cernavoda-Vadu Oii and declined along the Braila-Tulcea sector.
