Adrian Nastase is no longer a professor at the Faculty of Law of the Bucharest University, which terminated his contract given his definitive corruption sentence, gândul.info reports. “According to the labor legislation in Romania, a person’s work contract is ceased when the person is remanded in custody for more than 30 days or when definitively and irrevocably sentenced,” according to the university. Adrian Nastase was a professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest. He would not be called to lecture before law students either. On his Internet page, Nastase says he is still a professor at the Faculty of Law. “Adrian Nastase has had a university career of more than three decades, at departments in this country and abroad. Adrian Nastase’s didactic activity is impressing. He has been a member of the didactic team of the Faculty of Law of the Bucharest University, and of the “Dimitrie Cantemir” and “Titu Maiorescu” Universities, and, since 1994, has been an associate professor at the Pantheon Sorbonne University Paris,” Nastase writes in the autobiography posted on his website. Adrian Nastase did not answer calls from gandul.info to voice his viewpoint on the matter.
