Romsilva attracted EUR 100 million from EU funds

Administrations of national parks managed by the National Forest  – Romsilva attracted more than EUR 100 million in less than ten years from European funds, according to the information provided by the Director General of the company, Adam Craciunescu, informs money.ro . Romsilva annually invests around EUR 2.5-3 million for the administration of the 22 natural areas and parks, although the demand would be about EUR 5 million annually. According to the Employers’ Federation of Tourism and Services protected areas in Romania have a tremendous tourism potential and would  bring revenue of EUR 20 million, if it would introduce a fee for visiting the area. Although very little promoted, they recorded annually about two million tourists.
