Concerns inside People’s Movement

Cristian Diaconescu, founding member of the People’s Movement Foundation, said in Alba Iulia, during the launching of a local organisation in Alba County, on Saturday, that he expected the registration of the party would take quite some time, ‘considering the passion and the opposition in the entire political spectrum’. Asked what issues he expected with the registration of their new party, Diaconescu answered that he expected ‘the opposition would use all means’. The President of the People’s Movement Foundation, Marian Preda, also said the documents for the registration of the political party would be most likely submitted this summer. According to Preda, the FMP members are ‘concerned’ by the fact that the constitutional review and regionalisation projects would clearly lead to division in Romania.
