Romania-Russia discussions, a fresh stage of the bilateral economic ties

The cooperation prospects in energy field, the involvement of the Russian companies in projects on energy resources transport and storage and projects having regional impact on electricity production were the main topics approached by Romania’s Premier Victor Ponta and Secretary of the Russian Federation’s Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, governmental newsroom informs, according to Agerpres. The talks’ main topics mirrored the joint willingness to promote a fresh stage of the bilateral economic ties, considering the priorities established by the joint economic mission whose works happened in Bucharest, this year, the above-mentioned source says. On this special occasion, PM Ponta stressed Romania’s obligations as an EU member country, regarding the observance of the EU laws and policies, in this field. The Kremlin official visited Romania, on Monday when President Basescu welcomed him and he met with Romania’s chief diplomat Titus Corlatean.
