GEFCO Romania plans to intensify regional presence in 2013

GEFCO Romania and GEFCO Russia, along with the Romanian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, have organized a conference dedicated to logistics as key factor in trade with Russia. Alexandr Lukin, Russian Embassy’s First Secretary, and Tatiana Tihon, Secretary General of the Romanian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, talked about bilateral trade. Christophe De-Korver, Director General GEFCO Romania, and Igor Alyushin, Customs Manager GEFCO Russia, made presentations, a press communiqué informs. “GEFCO Romania has handled flows to and from Russia since 2008 and has gained solid practice and experience in administering all aspects concerning this route. With the backing of GEFCO Russia, which has significant expertise logistics-wise and customs-wise, GEFCO Romania can offer complete services and competitive solutions to clients that have trade relations with partners located in Russia’s wider region,” Christophe De-Korver, GEFCO Romania, stated. In 2012 GEFCO handled over 1,000 lorries towards Russian and over 250 lorries from Russia. GEFCO handles Romania – Russia flows for clients in the auto, electronics, customer electronics and retail domains. For 2013 GEFCO Romania plans to intensify its regional presence and to continue to implement new solutions for emerging markets such as Russia and the Middle East.
